West Loop POW! Kids Expanding Birthday Parties

Hula Hoops have been around since 1958. According to Wikipedia, "hula hoop is a toy hoop that is twirled around the waist, limbs or neck... It was invented by Arthur K. "Spud" Melin and Richard Knerr, but children and adults around the world have played with hoops, twirling, rolling and throwing them throughout history." POW! Kids in Chicago's West Loop has added Ashley Honey, a hula-hooping school teacher to its birthday party staff.

At the 2015 West Loop Arts Fest, POW! Kids put on a variety show and taught kids the basics of hula hooping. Although learning to hula around the waist is where most people start, Ashley started her demonstration off with teaching the kids tricks. Take a look at this simple trick.
